Whenever a couple tells me that the getting ready, ceremony and reception will all take in one place I smile so big and tell them they’ve made the best choice! It really makes for a relaxing and calm day when you don’t have to get in cars and drive 15-20 minutes to various locations.
When Emily and Jonathan told me they were getting married at The Treman Center I got super excited. This venue is a custom-designed space just 10 minutes from downtown Ithaca, New York. This three-story venue, created from local stone and wood salvaged from an 1870s hay barn, is somehow large and cozy at the same time. It is surrounded by 1250-acres with spectacular gorges and waterfalls and the Finger Lakes Trail.
Emily got ready at the top level of The Treman Center and even stayed the night there with her bridesmaids the day before her wedding.
Emily and Jonathan had their first look away from the venue closer to nature and had some moments together before the ceremony started. They had an outdoor ceremony in the main space. Then they had dinner on the second floor of the barn.
We ended the night with dancing and a bonfire. Everything was so cozy and perfect.
