One of my favorite places to capture families is in their own homes. When my clients get in front of the camera, they are more comfortable in a familiar environment. This is especially important when it comes to involving kids. The place that will feel the most familiar is in the comfort of your living room, the kid’s room, or even your backyard. These are where your kids are growing up, and you will want to cherish these moments by capturing the spaces you will never forget. If your family moves homes or if your child’s bedroom changes, I love that photographs allow you to freeze that moment in time.
White Rock Lake
One of the top outdoor locations for photo shoots in Dallas is White Rock Lake in East Dallas. This area provides access to a lake and boasts beautiful fields in the fall and tall flowers in the spring and summer. In addition, you will indeed find a beautiful sunset over the hills and trees overlooking the lake.
Kidd Springs Park Oak Cliff
Kidd Springs Park in Oak Cliff is another beautiful outdoor location for a photo shoot. In South Dallas, Kidd Springs Park is an escape from the city views and is the perfect location for a forest-themed photo shoot. With winding trails and tall trees, escape the hustle and bustle of downtown without having to travel far!
Dallas Arboretum
A fan favorite regarding family photos in east Dallas is the Dallas Arboretum. Whether you are looking for pictures surrounded by flowers for the spring or encompassed by pumpkins in the fall, the Dallas Arboretum is always a good option for kids. Not only can we get beautiful pictures, but afterward, your kids can adventure into the children’s garden turning a family photo shoot into an adventure they will remember!
