This family has a special place in my heart. I’ve been friends with Laurel for years. We met in Brooklyn, and she’s been in front of my camera more times than I can count. I’ve had the honor of taking her maternity and newborn photos, so meeting these three during our Costa Rica family session and taking more portraits of their family was a dream.
We started inside their house capturing pictures of Juniper we then headed outside to get more family photos outside their home. They have some beautiful greenery on their property so being able to get family photos there was such a dream. Greenery that is in Costa Rica is not like the greenery that is in Texas or New York! While getting pictures of the three of them I also was snapping shots of the family dog before heading inside to grab a snack. I always recommend to families that they bring snacks in case the kids get hungry so there are no melt downs. Thankfully since we were shooting at home grabbing a snack was easy. The family photo session ended by their pool outside. Laurel and Nate were both wearing blue shirts that matched the blue water in the pool.
Costa Rica Family Session in Lake Arenal
This Costa Rica family session was so special to me since I was able to capture a friends new baby in the home they are raising her in.The session took place in Lake Arenal in Costa Rica, which was so serene and stunning. They moved from Brooklyn to Costa Rica, and they’re currently in Colorado planning their next move back to Costa Rica because they love it so much!
