Deirdre and Rodney had their first date at Bryant Park—and soon discovered that we had been in the same place at the same time many, many times in the years preceding that moment. Years of being part of different parishes in the same church community meant they had over a hundred Facebook friends in common. Rodney finally reached out and said, “We really ought to get to know one another.” Sparks flew instantly!
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Deirdre for many years and was so honored to photograph her wedding.
They got ready at nearby hotels, and then we all ventured to the Sundancer Yacht in NYC, where they got married. It was a rainy day, but they made the most of the weather by bringing these gorgeous classic umbrellas for themselves and their wedding party. The rain and fog had the day oozing with romance.
Deirdre’s wedding dress had stunning details, and I love the hairpiece she wore. Rodney rocked the white tux, and they were stunning together!
