The original plan was to have one wedding, in November, in Marfa, Texas. We wanted to have an intimate wedding with close friends and family at a place that was accessible for everyone. Following our last two blog posts, you know that you can’t always get what you want. We ended up hosting a Marfa, Texas wedding for our friends and family as our third and final Texas wedding. It’s one of our favorite places, and we couldn’t wait to share this magical city with our family.
Despite Marfa being a tourist hotspot; it still manages to make you feel like you’re the only person in town. However, this atmosphere made our Marfa, Texas wedding perfect for our final wedding celebration. This openness and calm meant that we were able to have plenty of adventures in our short treks around Marfa, including meeting the cutest little chihuahua whose owner was also maybe one of the coolest bartenders we’ve ever met (with a beard that made that claim undeniable for us!). Marfa will always remain a magical place where we got to share our love for each other and our families.
Planning a Marfa Texas Wedding?
Without a doubt, the local vendors who helped us plan every detail, the friendly faces of the town’s residents, and the breathtaking sunsets. Above all Marfa’s hospitality and natural beauty added a special touch to our wedding experience.
And for those of you considering Marfa, Texas as your own wedding destination, I can’t recommend it enough. However, to truly capture the essence of Marfa, you’ll want a Texas wedding photographer who understands the unique atmosphere and knows how to make your special day shine against the Marfa backdrop.
