The original plan was to have one wedding, in November, in Marfa, Texas. We wanted to have an intimate travel wedding with close friends and family at a place that was accessible for everyone. If you read our last two posts, you know that you can’t always get what you want. We made some compromises and ended up hosting our friends and family in Marfa as our third and final wedding event. It’s one of our favorite places, and we couldn’t wait to share this magical city with our family.
Even though Marfa has become a bit of a tourist hotspot, it still manages to make you feel like you’re the only person in town exploring its open streets and desert foliage. This openness and calm meant that we were able to have plenty of adventures in our short treks around Marfa, including meeting the cutest little chihuahua whose owner was also maybe one of the coolest bartenders we’ve ever met (with a beard that made that claim undeniable for us!). Marfa will always remain a magical place where we got to share our love for each other and our families.
