The Herrings booked a family photo session starting at their Park Slope apartment. Your home is my favorite place for a family session, where you and your kids are the most comfortable, so this is the perfect place to capture forever. I started the shoot in the children’s room, taking photos of the books and pendants that made this room their own.
We then moved to the family room, and I captured their laughter as they played as they do every day on the living room floor. The Herrings then got ready, and we ventured outside, and I continued to capture their journey to the park nearby their apartment, where we finished their family session playing on the playground and climbing on the downed tree trunks that we found in the greenery.
Prospect Park Brooklyn
Park Slope is one of my favorite New York City neighborhoods for family photos since its buildings are full of history, but it is still close to a park. One of the perfect neighborhoods for family sessions in the city.
