Whenever people ask me where to take urban engagement photos, I always suggest the Upper East Side! Especially if that’s where you live it makes for the perfect engagement session location in NYC. It’s quintessential New York City and has so much romance and history on every block.
This couple met on move-in day when they both started college at Penn State. So, you could say they’ve been living together since day one. After eight years together, he got their pup a new collar with a special engraving – “Will you marry me?” If you’re thinking of including your fur baby in your proposal do it! It is always a good idea and can definitely lead to a higher chance of them saying “YES!”
Since their pup was a big part of their proposal, it was only fitting that we had their pup at their NYC Upper East Side engagement session. They are such a sweet couple that capturing their love on camera was so easy. We finished their session on brownstone steps with big slices of pizza and kisses.

What I love about being an NYC wedding photographer is that in each area of the city there is always a photo opportunity. Even though people think New York is a concrete jungle there are little parks and lush greenery that you can find in every neighborhood.
