I am thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to take your photo with me this fall. Due to overwhelming requests, my team and I are hosting NYC mini sessions on October 3rd and October 17th and Dallas mini sessions on November 7th and November 14th. This year, I am bringing you the chance to capture precious moments in two iconic cities, ensuring you get a professional photo taken at least once this year.
This year I’m also adding options where you can work with my incredible team of photographers. Many of you have already worked with Anna and Clara, and I’m so excited they’ll be helping with minis this year so that everyone can find a time and location they love.

Where We’re Photographing This Fall
As a Brooklyn-based family photographer in Park Slope, we’ll be capturing New York City mini sessions at two timeless locations. On October 3rd, Clara is photographing in Central Park, Manhattan’s 843-acre landmark and one of the most requested backdrops for family portraits in the city. On October 17th, I’ll be in Prospect Park in Brooklyn — the meadow light there in mid-October is my favorite of the entire year.
In Texas, our Dallas dates take you to two very different prairies. On November 7th, Anna is photographing at the Laura W. Bush Native Texas Park, the 15-acre restored prairie on the grounds of the George W. Bush Presidential Center near the SMU campus. On November 14th, I’ll be at Twelve Hills Nature Center on Mary Cliff Road in North Oak Cliff, a five-acre urban preserve just minutes from the Bishop Arts District. Mini sessions are perfect for the family or couple looking for portraits out in nature.

Good to Know Before You Book
These mini sessions are not limited to families. If you are a couple or a brand, you are more than welcome to sign up for a time slot. Every year I photograph a wide variety of sessions — all are welcome!
The booking page automatically converts times to your current time zone when you view the scheduler, so please keep that in mind when choosing your time.
If you have more than three kiddos or a shy baby, I’d recommend booking a full session this year to get the full experience. The best part about our two-hour sessions is that they include more images, the location of your choosing, and film.
Out of town or not available on those dates? Reach out and we can chat about a full session in your city.
Should you opt for a mini-session vs. a full session?
1. Firstly, the holiday season is right around the corner, and what better way to spread joy than with stunning photographs? My fall mini-sessions are perfect for those seeking a handful of images for their holiday cards or thoughtful, personalized gifts. Whether a heartwarming family portrait or a new baby announcement, my mini-sessions provide the right time to capture your joy.
2. As a mom of two boys, I understand that young ones can sometimes have a limited attention span. Mini-sessions offer a fantastic solution if you’re worried your little bundles of energy will hold up during a full-hour session. With their shorter duration, these sessions are ideal for capturing genuine expressions and candid moments before anyone gets too restless. I’ll work my magic swiftly, ensuring we get a good shot that your loved ones will enjoy for years.
3. Whether you’re planning a romantic autumn wedding or want to capture your engagement bliss, mini-sessions are a fabulous opportunity to get that perfect picture for your wedding and save the date. This is a great, cost-effective way of capturing save-the-date images if you are not planning on doing a full engagement session.

Mini-sessions are the budget-friendly option for photography
Everyone should have the chance to experience the magic of professional photography. Because of this current climate, fall mini-sessions are for those who want professional photos this year on a budget. Finally, I understand that professional photos are not something everyone can make happen yearly, so by offering these mini-sessions, you will experience a professional session without breaking the bank.
Are you looking to get a few more pictures? Reserve two spots to get double the images, or book a full session! I have limited spots left; book your mini-session today!
Fall mini session FAQs
How long is a mini session?
Mini sessions are short, focused sittings designed to get you a handful of beautiful images quickly — ideal for holiday cards, birth announcements, and save the dates. If you want more time, more images, and the location of your choosing, a full family session is the better fit.
How much do fall mini sessions cost?
A 2026 fall mini session is $400. You can upgrade to your full gallery of 35 images curated by Bethany for a total of $850.
What happens if it rains?
Every mini session date has a rain date on the following Sunday. Please reserve both dates in your calendar at the same time you booked for the original date, so we’re ready to move if the weather turns.
Are mini sessions only for families?
Not at all. Couples and brands are very welcome to book a time slot — every year I photograph a wide variety of sessions at fall minis.
Where are the 2026 fall mini sessions held?
In New York City, we’re at Central Park in Manhattan on October 3rd and Prospect Park in Brooklyn on October 17th. In Dallas, we’re at the Laura W. Bush Native Texas Park on November 7th and Twelve Hills Nature Center in North Oak Cliff on November 14th.
Should I book a mini session or a full session?
If you have more than three children or a shy baby, I recommend a full session so there’s no time pressure. Full sessions run two hours, include more images, let you choose your location, and include film. Here’s a fuller comparison of the two.
