I’m so excited to share this absolutely stunning rehearsal dinner editorial we shot at Virgin Hotels Dallas! When the opportunity came up to work with Britt Jones Co. again on a styled shoot at one of Dallas’s most sophisticated hotels, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. Britt continues to be an industry leader in designing weddings and luxury brand campaigns across the globe, and her eye for design is just unmatched.
What drew me to this collaboration wasn’t just working with Britt again, but the venue itself, Virgin Hotels Dallas has this incredible ability to blend the best of NYC sophistication with a touch of LA all in one space.
Stationery is Branding for Your Wedding
We kicked off our evening in one of the hotel rooms, capturing all the gorgeous flatlay details that Britt had curated for this shoot. Working with experienced wedding planners such as Britt Jones, who have a specific vision and design for each wedding they create, not only will you get all of the best wedding vendors to work with, but she also curates all of the details for you when it comes to your wedding flatlay.
The attention to detail was incredible, from the custom monogram with a martini glass motif to those gorgeous Martini-shaped die-cuts that carried the theme throughout every element. These are exactly the kinds of personal touches that make rehearsal dinners feel special and memorable for couples and their closest family and friends. People often overlook the fact that the paper goods for your wedding day serve as a form of branding. I have worked at Virgin Hotels Dallas before this editorial. Still, I didn’t realize that Virgin Hotels Dallas has this amazing little pocket of space that can be transformed into the most intimate dinner setting for five tables. What I love about this venue is how it can feel both grand and cozy at the same time, perfect for couples who want their rehearsal dinner to feel sophisticated but still personal.
The moody table settings that Britt designed were absolutely stunning! The deep reds and maroons paired with rich greens and touches of deep purple created this luxurious atmosphere that felt both dramatic and inviting. Each place setting was layered on chocolate brown linens from BBJ La Tavola, featuring gorgeous Ginori Albus chargers topped with those beautiful green napkins.
And can we talk about the Gucci gift boxes at each place setting?! What an incredible touch that shows how rehearsal dinners can be an opportunity to really celebrate your closest people in style. These are the kinds of details that guests will remember forever.
One thing that made this editorial so cohesive was the martini theme running throughout every element. From dirty martinis to espresso martinis and everything in between, this theme felt both sophisticated and fun, which is exactly what you want for a rehearsal dinner.
Capturing the Couple’s Style
After documenting all the beautiful table details, I got to photograph the couple with their martinis in hand, and let me tell you, if you love couples photos that really lean into flash, this is the perfect hotel for you! The Virgin Hotels Dallas’ moody, modern design was the perfect backdrop for these editorial portraits.
Hair and makeup by Jen Lagers created looks that felt polished and sophisticated. At the same time, the dress from Delfi Collective was the perfect choice for this elevated rehearsal dinner setting. These styling choices showed how couples can really embrace the sophistication of their venue choice while still feeling authentically themselves.
The Perfect Getaway Moment
We ended the evening outside Virgin Hotels Dallas with the most stunning getaway car, a classic British-made MG that was a perfect nod to the Virgin brand’s British roots. This detail was such a beautiful way to tie the entire editorial together while creating these dramatic, editorial-style shots that couples dream of having.
